WebJan 10, 2024 · I broke the bead on a motorcycle tire, and removed the tire exactly once and vowed never to do this again To break the bead, I used a 6' long piece of 2x4 wood and a short (~8" long) piece of 2x4. I put the wheel/tire on the ground under the hitch of a car/truck. I placed the short piece of wood vertically against the tire at the bead.
