WebFamily Self-Sufficiency Program Low-income individuals usually lack the education and/or skills needed to obtain and maintain employment. Many times, these individuals do not receive jobs because they cannot pass pre-employment test, do not meet educational eligibility criteria, and lack employment competency skills. WebThe FSS program is an innovative program that helps low-income families enrolled in the housing voucher program to build assets, increase their earnings, and make progress toward self-sufficiency. Participants in the FSS program receive case management support to help them access work-promoting services in the community.
